Marc Boterman is the lead financial advisor at Rockwood Financial, where he’s been helping clients plan their financial futures for over 30 years. A Certified Financial Planner since 2000, Marc brings a deep understanding of tax planning and preparation, thanks to his early career in accounting.

He also provides expert guidance in investment management, insurance, and comprehensive financial planning. Marc lives in Kitchener, Ontario with his wife, in the same family home where he and his 12 siblings were raised.

Ben Boterman, CFP^®, CIM

Certified Financial Planner^®

Ben Boterman is a financial advisor with a strong background in investment strategy and financial planning. Prior to joining our team, he worked at an investment firm, collaborating with other advisors to craft tailored investment solutions for their clients.

He holds both the CFP® and CIM® designations, reflecting his commitment to expert, client-focused guidance. Based in Toronto, Ben shares his home—and occasionally the office—with his beloved dog George, who’s quickly become a team favorite.

Lauren Kapps

Licensed Assistant

Lauren Kapps is a licensed assistant at Rockwood Financial and has been an integral part of the team since 2006. Before joining the firm, she worked as a mortgages and investments specialist at a major bank, gaining valuable experience in client service and financial products.

Lauren is often the first friendly face clients see at the front desk and plays a key role in processing trades and supporting both Marc and Ben in client communications. She lives in Guelph, Ontario and enjoys cooking and horseback riding in her free time.

Beth Musial

Licensed Assistant

Beth Musial is an Honours Graduate from Sheridan College, specializing in Business and Finance. Since beginning her career in the financial services industry in 2000, she has earned both the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and Registered Deposit Agent (RDA) designations and has developed a strong foundation in client service and investment planning.

Beth’s broad expertise and deep understanding of the financial landscape allow her to deliver thoughtful, personalized support to each client.

Originally from Guelph, Beth continues to reside here with her husband and two children.

Pascale Fournier

Administrative Assistant

Pascale Fournier is the administrative assistant at Rockwood Financial, where she keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently. She manages a wide range of responsibilities, including answering phones, coordinating client meetings, and maintaining the organizational flow of day-to-day operations.

Known for her attention to detail and calm presence, Pascale is a key part of the client experience. She lives in Rockwood and is an avid equestrian and outdoorswoman.

David Emmerson

Advisor Support

David Emmerson is part of the advisor support team at Rockwood Financial, where he focuses on tax analysis, planning, and preparing client tax returns during tax season. Before joining the firm, he worked at a large international investment company and has built a solid and lengthy background in the financial services industry.

David brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to his work, helping ensure clients receive thorough and personalized service. Originally from Saskatchewan, he grew up in Ontario and now lives in Toronto, where he enjoys exploring Canadian art and military history.
